St. Mark's Committees & Ministries

Where would you like to get involved? 

The volunteers who serve on committees and ministries at St. Mark's are the life blood and the engine of the church. They donate the man-hours to ensure everything gets done. And many people use the volunteer experience to get to know other members in the church community.

Personnel Committee

Purpose: This committee is composed of Vestry members and serves as advisors to the Rector on all personnel issues as prescribed by the Diocese of Colorado.


Youth Committee

Mission:  To build a loving fellowship of Disciples of Christ through service, education and recreation.



Endowment Committee

Purpose: To oversee the investment of endowment funds to produce income for the church and to control access to the funds in concert with the Vestry.



Outreach Committee

Purpose: To coordinate St. Mark's hands-on involvement in community projects and to help set financial priorities for projects that assist the less fortunate, locally, nationally and internationally.


Building & Grounds Committee

Purpose: Responsible for the appearance and upkeep of St. Mark's building and property.



Finance Committee

Purpose: To oversee the finances of the church and report them to the Vestry on a regular basis. It is also responsible for working with the Rector in the creation of a yearly budget to be presented to the Vestry for approval.


Stewardship 
​Ministry

Purpose:  Plans year-round stewardship education, connecting people and helping them connect with the ministries that match their spiritual gifts, talents and strengths; when fundraising is ministry, like the Fall Campaign, lives are transformed in the giving of time, talent and treasure all of which are tied to the vision and mission of St. Mark’s; group meets once a month and more frequently in preparation for and execution of the Fall Campaign.
